    Village primaries hold fun day

On Sunday 6th June 2004, children, parents, families and communities from Borthwick, Cousland, Cranston, Howgate and Temple gathered at Temple Primary School for a Schools' Fun Day.

Since 26th February when Midlothian Council announced their Schools Plus Programme, these communities have come together to form friendships across Midlothian. This was the time to relax and enjoy a day with both old and new found friends.

The event was a resounding success with people gathering from all corners of Midlothian to join in the fun. Our thanks go to Borthwick Pipe Band, Lothian & Borders Fire Bridge and all the people who helped on the BBQ, stalls, games and races, and to those who donated prizes and home baking. A great time was had by all on this warm sunny day.

Hand drawings of all 5 schools by a local artist that were on sale can still be obtained, via the website, www.mrsag.org.uk.
