    • MRSAG holds political forum - 31 March 2004.

    Campaigners from all 5 communities affected by the closure proposals met in Cousland Village Hall for a politicians forum. MSPs and councillors for Midlothian were all invited to meet and discuss the issues. Jennifer MacGregor chaired this meeting with the following politicians (in alphabetical order) :

    • Rhona Brankin, MSP for Midlothian (Labour)
    • Lord James Douglas-Hamilton, MSP for Lothians (Conservative)
    • Colin Fox, MSP for Lothians (Scottish Socialists)
    • Fiona Hyslop, MSP for Lothians (Scottish National Party)
    • Sheila Thacker, Midlothian Councillor (Liberal Democrat)
